jinker

shopping trolley/buggy: you can push the jinker around the shop.

Contributor's comments: I have heard this word to mean the trucks they carry logs on after felling them. That was in East Gippsland.

Contributor's comments: I know a jinker as a home-made, basic vehicle use to tow a boat out to the water. Often these are based on tractors and are raised very high to allow them to go into the water. Often found at Port Parham/Webbs Beach where you have to really trek to reach the water. Also used as a vehicle to take you to crabbing spots.
